MSTC Training

The training curriculum at the Training Centre is largely divided into the following
activities
• Physical Training
• Academics
• Other activities
|
|
Physical Training
|
MSTC lays special emphasis on physical training and related activities. The Physical
Training programmes are aimed at building stamina, endurance and agility of trainees.
The Physical Training Team implements the programmes with scientific techniques,
in a phased and progressive manner.
|
Endurance training is designed to augment the physical development of trainees.
Drill, which is an important aspect of physical training, is aimed at inculcating
in the trainees, smartness in gait and implicit obedience to orders.
|
Physical disciplines like 100 meters sprint,one mile run, five kilometers long run,
long jump, pull ups and shot put are covered in Pre Recruitment Training
Course and Minority Course,and Technical and Clerk Course.

Academics
|
The training Staff, both for classroom instructions and field training , is the
skilled and experienced retired military instructors.
|
The Training syllabus prescribed in Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act,
2005 and Maharashtra Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Rules, 2007 is covered
by the competent Staff that makes the Training Centre clock tick.
|
The syllabus comprises of 100 hours of class room instructions and 60 hours of field
training. The subjects cover wide canvas from various types of Security to practical
training through numerous modern high-tech Security devices like CCTV, Intrusion
Alarm System, Access Control System, Door Frame Metal Detector, Hand Held Metal
Detector and Under Vehicle Search Mirror and visit to an industry to observe and
understand practical aspects of Security.

The trainees are given ‘On the Job Training’, both during day and night.
|
The Military and Police training consists of academic subjects like Mathematics,
English, Science, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Marathi.
|
Facilities like TV, library and newspapers, both in English and Marathi and General
Knowledge magazines are provided to the trainees to improve their general awareness.
Every day, public speaking through five minutes talk and news coverage by the trainees
is planned to improve articulation capabilities of the trainees, both in speech
and writing.

The trainees are put to test to assess their level of grasp and competence. This
brings in the spirit of competition amongst the trainees to excel in Academics.
|
On successful completion of the Course, the trainees are awarded the ‘Graduation
Certificate’.

Other Activities
|
Cultural Programme, at end of the Course, is conducted to show case the
theatrical talent of the trainees. The best are awarded with gift prizes.
Graduation Ceremony is conducted on last day of the Course. The trophies
for best House in Cross Country and Drill, individual best in Cross Country, gift
prize for first three in Academics and certificates to trainees are awarded by the
Commandant.
